A lure device comprises a float from which is pivotably suspended a hanger having two arms which guide and secure the fishing line. The securing of the fishing line is achieved by a pin, and a central U-shaped member having first and second legs, with said first leg continuing tangentially into a first helical member which turns in a first direction, and said second leg continuing tangentially into a second helical member which turns in a second opposite direction, and said first and said second helical members being coaxial and having said pin snugly disposed therethrough such that the fishing line may be secured in clamped relationship between the pin and the helical members.
