METHOD AND DEVICE FOR DIAGNOSING CORROSION OF METALLIC ANTENNA

PURPOSE:To achieve corrosion diagnosis without depending on an inspector's experience by determining the corrosion progress status of an antenna with two parameters of a line diameter reduction rate and a binary fluctuation rate. CONSTITUTION:In the method and device, an image pick-up device 6 which is mounted to the tip of a rod 8 is used and a background plate 30 with a known brightness is laid out at the back of a metallic antenna 1, thus picking up the image of the antenna. The ratio of reduction in the antenna diameter and scattering of brightness are calculated from the obtained pick-up image of the antenna, thus judging the degree of corrosion of the antenna.
