PURPOSE:To recover the data transmission errors of still pictures or the like with the multiplexed frames of moving pictures, voice, and data regulated by CCITT recommendation H.221. CONSTITUTION:In addition to a means for controlling the multiplexed frames of the CCITT recommendation H.221, this equipment is constituted of a high level data link (HDLC) processing part 8 for performing error detection and frame assembling/separating in an HDLC form and a BAS control part 10 for controlling transmission by normally receiving the frame or receiving the erroneous frame and using a bit rate assignment signal (BAS) extending the frame number according to an HDLC procedure. Even when the error is generated in the received data due to the transmission error during communication or the like, error is not displayed, the retransmission of the entire data by the instruction from an user is unnecessary, and the retransmission of the data subsequent to the erroneous frame is automatically performed, so that the transmission efficiency is improved. |
