<p>PURPOSE:To prevent thermal deformation of a heater and improve withstand voltage between the heater and a cathode base by increasing the thermal efficiency of the heater and dropping the temperature of the heater. CONSTITUTION:In an impregnation type cathode structure and its manufacture, a cathode base 1 which is impregnated with emitting material is fixed to one end of a sleeve 4 in which a heater 5 is built. Slurry contains high-melting-point metal black nitride powder and nonorganic binder is applied to the inside of the sleeve 4 and to form a blackened film 8 fired in a reducing atmosphere.</p> |
