PURPOSE:To make it possible to perform the reset synchronization of a transmission device by using the only data within a picture data area. CONSTITUTION:The synchronizing reset circuit is provided with a pattern detection circuit 101 detecting '01', 'FE' or the alternation a counter circuit 102 counting the continuity of the detection and a reset control circuit comparing the count value and an expected value and outputting an internal reset signal to an encoding part 107. Thus, by detecting the alternation and the continuity of extremely few value which appear in a normal picture signal such as the '01' or 'FE', the normal picture signal and the special signal for a reset release is possible to be discriminated, and by using the only data within the picture data area, the reset synchronization is possible to be performed. |
