PURPOSE:To increase the number of characters to be inputted within a page and to reduce format setting/inputting work by reading out character information and converting the read information into character information corresponding to switched format information. CONSTITUTION:An input information storing means 102 stores character information inputted from an input means 101 and a mode setting means 13 sets up a personal Desk-Top-Publishing(DTP) mode or a normal document mode. A normal format storing means 104 stores the format information of the normal document mode and a DTP format storing means 105 stores format information consisting of the number of points, a line feeding pitch and a character interval which are smaller than respective values of the normal document mode. A format switching means 106 switches the format information from the means 104 or the means 12 based upon the mode setting of the means 103, a conversion means 107 reads out the character information from the means 102 and converts the read information into character information corresponding to the switched format information and an output means 108 outputs the converted character information. |
