PURPOSE:To make an effect sound adjustable to an optimum level by providing an up/down counter which varies a counted value according to the result of a deciding means and further providing a multiplying means which multiplies the output of an effect sound generating means by the output of the up/down counter. CONSTITUTION:The up/down counter 12 varies the value according to the output of the deciding means 11 and then even when the decision result of the deciding means 11 is uncertain, it can stably be decided whether an input signal is a speech or music by performing counting-up/down operation. Further, a multiplying means 15 multiplies the output of the effect sound generating means 14 by the output of the up/down counter 12, so the level of the effect sound can be adjusted to the optimum level. Namely, the level of the effect sound increases in case of the music and decreases in case of the speech, so that the sound becomes articulate. |
