PURPOSE:To provide an optical semiconductor module whose optical system is superior in temperature stability, and which causes fewer optical displacements. CONSTITUTION:A Peltier cooler 3 is disposed on an inside bottom 2a of a package 2, and one piece of a block 18 is arranged in close contact with a cooling section 3a of the Peltier cooler 3. A laser diode 5 and a ferrule 12 that holds a lens 6 and an optical fiber 11 are fixed on this block 18.
