PURPOSE:To reduce and decrease the use entry number of a conversion table by changing a flag to a value defined two page as a unit when the virtual page address and physical page address of an address to be registered are adjacent. CONSTITUTION:A comparator 3 compares whether the page address part of a virtual address stored in a virtual address register 1 and the virtual page address part of the entry of a conversion table 2 coincide or not. A comparator 6 compares the parts excluding one bit of the lowest rank of the both page address parts. Namely, a comparator 2 decides whether the virtual addresses coincide or not by defining two pages as a unit. A selector 4 selects either one of the output of the comparator 3 and the output of the comparator 6 according to the value of a MP bit of the entry of the conversion table 2. For instance, when the MP bit is 1, the page address defining two pages as a unit which is registered in the conversion table 2 is selected as the output of the comparator 6. |
