<p>PURPOSE:To provide the recorder in which gradation is reproduced in an excellent way from a low density area to a high density area and a pseudo intermediate tone picture is recorded with high accuracy. CONSTITUTION:A picture data processing section 30 recognizes the state of picture elements around a remark picture element among picture data and implements processing to set the size of the remark picture element based on the recognized state. Then each of picture element data is made up of plural bits representing the size of the picture element set with respect to the remark picture element. An enable signal generating circuit 20 generates an enable signal EN including pulses over 1st prescribed period once and pulses over 2nd prescribed time for plural number of times (thrice) for a generating period of one picture element (one line recording period). A head driver 40 lights an LED when the pulse over the 1st prescribed time is produced as the enable signal EN and lights the LED when pulses in response to plural bits of data among plural pulses over the 2nd prescribed time.</p> |
