PURPOSE:To improve the productivity without increase in a capacity of a power supply by controlling a scanner so as to start the movement in the direction of a home position after an automatic draft feeder starts carrying a succeeding original when the scanner reads a preceding original. CONSTITUTION:A control unit has a CPU 601 controlling the sequence relation and a main CPU controlling the operation relation and is mounted to a main control board. The CPU 601 implementing the control of the sequence relation executes a condition setting output relating to paper timing and image forming and has a paper size sensor 603 and sensors 603a relating to carrying of paper such as paper discharge detection and resist detection. When the original carried by an automatic draft feeder is read by a scanner, after the automatic draft feeder starts carrying of a succeeding original, since the scanner starts movement in the direction of home position, the replacement time of the originals is reduced and the productivity is improved without increasing the capacity of the power supply. |
