PURPOSE:To obtain an electric double-layer capacitor which is small in inner resistance and large in capacity. CONSTITUTION:Polarizable electrodes formed of active carbon fiber plates 1 and collecting electrodes composed of glassy carbon plates 2 and graphite plates 4 are laminated, and an expansion graphite sheet 3 is interposed between the active carbon fiber active carbon plate 1 and the glassy carbon plate 2 and between the graphite plate 4 and the glassy carbon plate 2 for the formation of an electric double-layer capacitor.
