PURPOSE:To provide a software fault information acquiring method for facsimile equipment which can speedily acquire fault information without connecting any special tool, can shorten use disable time and can easily investigate the basic cause when any software fault is generated. CONSTITUTION:This method is composed of a control part 1 incorporating a fault detection part (software fault detecting means) 6 to detect software faults and a memory 7 to store software information in addition to the control function of an entire equipment, floppy disk device 2 to attach/detach a floppy disk, operation part 3, display 4 and printer 5 and when any software fault is detected by the fault detection part 6 contents in the memory 7 of the control part 1 are automatically stored in the floppy disk of the floppy disk device 2. On the other hand, the contents in the memory 7 can be stored in the floopy disk by operations from the operation part 3 as well. |
