PURPOSE:To obtain an apparatus wherein, when the abnormality of a plant is caused, a problem is solved in cooperation with an operator. CONSTITUTION:The function hierarchy model of a plant is linked with the physical structure of apparatuses constituting the plant ; an abnormality diagnosis knowledge base 15 is formed. By means of a process signal input 13 from a plant 11, a plant state evaluation operation 14 is performed by using the abnormality diagnosis knowledge base 15. When a hypothesis setting operation 17 is performed by an information input 16 from an operator 12, a knowledge base change 18 is executed according to its content. A hypothesis evaluation operation 19 is performed on the basis of its changed content. When a retrieval information setting operation 21 is performed by the information input operation 16 from the operator 12, an information retrieval operation 22 is performed on the basis of the abnormality diagnosis knowledge base 15. |
