<p>An apparatus has been developed for transforming cold metal profiles 1 into hot-cut sections 10, comprising at least one pair of opposed rotating cutting and calking discs 20, located at a distance equal to the width of the removable edges 12 of the sections 1 and provided with truncated-cone side walls 22 capable of cutting opposed removable edges 12 of the sections 1 containing elements of insulating material 29 and capable, at the same time, of bending opposed deformable teeth 11 to block the insulating material 29 in the slots 18.
