A method for permanently removing smells as they originate in a WC pan (1) or similar, consists of fitting a suction pipe (4) in the water inlet (3) and applying suction above the water inlet valve. This may also be achieved by fitting a riser unit (16), with watertight seals and water pipe inside with vent behind, between the cistern and pan. There is a gap for air circulation between the WC seat (7) and the pan. The riser unit is also available, containing mechanical means of suction ventilation. USE/ADVANTAGES - Improved ventilation efficiency eliminates odours.
