<p>PURPOSE:To visually confirm the position and distribution of radioactive particles fallen and spread on a floor surface in the state as it is in a work location handling radioactive materials. CONSTITUTION:A position detector for radioactive material has a box body 20 having an opening part formed on a part, a video camera 22 and image intensifier 26 set opposite to the opening part in the box body, a light shielding layer 30 provided to cover the opening part which transmits radiation to be a detecting target but shielding the incidence of external light, and a scintillator layer 32 provided on the inside of the light shielding layer. As the light shielding layer, a polyester film on which aluminium is evaporated is used, and the scintillator layer is preferably arranged closely to this layer.</p> |
