HIDDEN LINE PROCESSING METHOD IN AUTOMATIC DRAWING

PURPOSE:To process hidden line elimination at high speed concerning a component where a projected graphic to a projection surface is dealt as a rectangle. CONSTITUTION:A master coordinate value where a range occupied by the projected graphics of the respective components is expressed through the use of the correlation coodinate from a reference point and the sequence of largeness in distance from the view points of the respective components are registered in a master file F1 (step S1). At the time of designing, the coordinate values of the respective end points of four coutour lines in the projected graphic are obtained through the use of the master coordinate value by using the coordinate value of a reference point (step S2). Then, the contour line is plotted in order from the component with shorter distance from the view point by following the sequences of the respective components. At this time, the coordinate values of the both end points of the contour line in an orthogonal direction to the contour line to be plotted within the contour lines of the respective components which are already plotted is compared with the coordinate value of the start point of the contour line to be plotted so that the range of a hidden line in the contour line to be plotted is judged and the coordinate value of the end point of the hidden line is obtained.
