<p>PURPOSE:To enhance the accuracy of distance measurement with a distance measuring device of SS mode by using only a PN clock without use of any high speed clock. CONSTITUTION:When SS signal is received from the object to be distance measured, correlation is determined by a correlation part 14, and the output therefrom is subjected to delay correction by a delay correction part 21 of a peak sensing means. Thereby the peak point is made identical to the rising edge of a correlation peak sensing pulse signal to permit sensing of the peak point equivalently. A delay part 26 of a phase judging means N-divides the PN clock from a PN clock oscillation part 1 and gives PN clocks having different phases to a selection part 25. The correlation peak sensing pulse signal from the delay correction part 21 is fed to a phase comparing means to undergo comparison with the PN clock phase controlled, and on the basis of the output therefrom the selection part 25 selects the PN clock having less phase error and gives phase select information to a distance computing part 28 for correction of the error in the distance.</p> |
