PURPOSE:To reduce the trouble of measurement and to reduce the storage capacity of a memory by performing a binaural processing at an optional angle with an arithmetic operation. CONSTITUTION:The signal received from a control circuit 2 is supplied to a memory 1 which stores the acoustic transmission functions of the right left head parts that are measured at plural angles at each prescribed angle interval. Then the transmission functions of the prescribed angles which hold a optional desired angle where a sound image is orientated between them is read out of the memory 1. The transmission function read out of the memory 1 are written into the registers 21L, 22L, 21R and 21L respectively. Then the signal of these registers are supplid to the interpolation arithmetic circuits 3L and 3R. At the same time, the signal which control the interpolation rate are supplied to both circuits 3L and 3R from the circuit 2. Based on this rate, an arithmetic operation is carried out to obtain the acoustic transmission functions of head parts. These functions are supplied to the superposition circuits 4L and 4R and superposed on the signal supplied from a monaural signal source 5. Then these superposed signals are supplied to the headphones 6L and 6R respectively. |
