PURPOSE:To obtain an oxygen sensor from which an abnormal output can be detected in a low air ratio region. CONSTITUTION:An oxygen sensor element S1 for detecting oxygen concentration formed by sealing a pellet composed of an ionic-conductive solid electrolyte 11 and electrodes 12a and 12b respectively formed on both surfaces of the electrolyte 1 with a cap 14 and forming a gas scattering hole 13 through the pellet and another oxygen sensor element S2 for monitoring abnormal outputs composed of a pellet constituted by forming electrodes 19a and 19b on both surfaces of an ionic-conductive solid electrolyte 18 for monitoring the abnormal output of the element S1 are united to one body with a shared heater 16 which simultaneously heats both elements S1 and S2 in between. |
