The heating and/or cooking apparatus for foods includes a heated water vessel (4) and baskets (3) for the immersion of the food in the vessel, does not have a loading mechanism, has a large access cover (27) on the front and/or top side of the cooking chamber (1) and has one or more electric heating plates (13) placed beneath the water vessel (4). The apparatus has two food baskets (3) which rotate on two drive shafts (7) mounted on the same axis (2) and coupled to each other by means of a rotational articulated joint (34); each drive shaft (7) has a drive coupling (32, 33) to connect them or their respective motors (5). The level control without moving parts consisting of a sensor made up of at least two thermocouples (40, 41) placed at different levels in the sheath (39), the first (40) close to the lower extremity of the sensor and the second (41) in an intermediate position, so that, when the sensor is fixed to the bracket (44), the second thermocouple (41) is positioned just below the desired level (42) of the water in the vessel (4). |
