<p>A pan scrubber (10, 200) apparatus is provided that cleans bakery pans with displaced brush bristle action. The pan scrubber (10, 200) includes a moveable frame (42, 218) that is attached to a stationary frame (12, 202). A brush (63, 238) is mounted to the moveable frame (42, 218) and has elongated bristles (66, 248) extending outwardly. An oscillatory drive (110, 234) is connected to the moveable frame (42, 218) to oscillate the brush (63, 238) toward and away from the outer surfaces of the pan causing the bristles (66, 248) to be moved in a substantially longitudinal direction of the bristles (66, 248) so ends of the bristles (66, 248) are moved against the outer surfaces of the pan intermittently. A rotational drive (142, 268) is further connected to the brush (63, 238) to rotate the brush (63, 238). A bristle contact bar (150, 268) placed adjacent the brush (63, 238) temporarily impedes rotation of the bristles to effectuate cleaning.</p> |
