The container is made from reinforced concrete with a square cylindrical cross-section. The inside surface is lined with a sealing coating of acid-resistant gas-tight material such as polyester resin. This inner coating can be reinforced with glass or carbon fibres. The inner face of the inner coating is lined with an acid-resistant foil. The outer wall of one of the side walls has a projection and the outer face of the opposite side wall has a corresponding indentation for keyed engagement when fitting two containers side by side. USE - The downwardly projecting one end of one container fits into the inner tapering upper end of the container below.
