The 3-D display system for video game applications projects textured polygon shapes on a 2-D display screen by using Z display look=up tables and a texture field store. The computer system consists of a digital signal processor, graphic co-processor and display system. The graphics co-processor (14) contains an ALU (25), look=up table (26), display address generator (28) and texture field address generator (30). Delta- and Acceleration values are calculated from the following equations: DD=(4-(8/(ZR+D))/(DL squared) D = (1/DL) - ((DL-1)DD/2) where ZR is the relation between Z end and start coordinates and DL the number of points in the display line. USE - Real=time 3-D video displays for video games.
