A hygienic sock to protect a foot and the interior of a shoe when shoes are tried on in a shop. The invention consists of two identical parts made of a plastic film welded together thermally. The top part (4) of the sock features means (e.g. rubber bands and/or press fasteners) (6) for adapting it to the leg. ADVANTAGE - The product is cheap to manufacture and does not significantly add to the cost of running a shoe shop.
