<p>A method of easily correcting the shape of a thermoset resin lens for spectacles which is deformed and deviated from the preset forming standards when the lens undergoes various heating processes after the lens is formed. In this method, with the objective lens surface of the thermoset resin lens (3) for spectacles directed downward, the circumferential portion of the object lens surface (4) is received by a supporting surface having a uniform plane, and the lens is exposed to a temperature atmosphere above the glass transition point of the lens resin for a suitable period of time, so that the circumferential portion of the object lens surface of the lens can be formed into a uniform planar shape due to the gravity of the lens, with the stresses in the interior and the exterior of the lens removed.</p> |
