The bar-shaped thread-guide element (10) for textile machines, especially as a loom heald, consists of compact thermoplastic reinforced with industrial filament fibres. The fibre reinforcement consists of a braided tube (2), and an eye orifice (6) is formed by a widening of the braided fibre strands (3). These thread-guide elements are substantially lighter than previous steel healds. By means of a two-stage thermoplastic process, moreover, they can be produced very simply and cost-effectively and in almost any shapes. ……
