The headset consists of a headband and two earphones padded with acoustically insulating material. The sound protection is made using the bias of an electronic mounting and the use of miniature microphones. These are situated on either side of the head at the side of the ears. A microphone and loudspeaker are inside each headphone with the loud-speaker next to the eardrum. The microphone receives sound and transmits it to the loudspeaker and inverts the phase of the sound w.r.t. the sound entering the headphone. The sum of the sound entering and the sound from the loudspeaker will tend to cancel each other and eliminate or reduce to a low level the sound perceived. USE - Headphones for reduction of sound levels using reverse phase sound reproduction through microphone and loudspeakers.
