The elastic control web (19), connected to the outer end of the sealing lip, is cylindrical concentric with the rotary axis and its two fastening ends point sideways away from each other and are supported radially outwards on support sections (10) of the ring body (4). At least one of the two fastening ends is fixed on the radially outer end of the sealing lip and is held on the support section, displaceable towards the weights (21) of the web. The weights are set in the middle between the two fastening ends and can be formed by ring springs. Where the sealing ring has a single sealing edge ring this ring is set on the radial centre plane of the web fixedly connected to two sealing lips. ADVANTAGE- Provides firm hold for weights between two fastening ends of the control web even at high rotary speeds to avoid damage to sealing lip. Operates without sliding friction wear in the web fastening area and has a longer service life.
