A SYSTEM FOR REMOVAL OF UNKNOWN, CORROSIVE, OR POTENTIALLY HAZARDOUS GASES FROM A GAS CONTAINER

A system for removing a gas from a pressurized gas container (105). A sealable, impermeable rupture vessel (101) encloses an interior on all sides and has a sealable door (104) for allowing access to the interior for placement therein of the gas container (105). A puncture device (103) is contained within the rupture vessel (101) for puncturing the gas container (105) and releasing the potentially hazardous and unknown gas from the gas container (105) into the rupture vessel (101). A pump (10) draws the gas from within the rupture vessel (101) without permitting the gas to communicate with any moving parts of the pump (10).
