DATA PROCESSING SYSTEM USING IC CARD

An IC card (24) and a memory card (23) for data are fitted to a terminal equipment (1) that is connected to a center computer (32) via a circuit. It is checked whether the confirmation data of a user stored in the IC card is in agreement with the confirmation data stored in a RAM (6) in the terminal equipment or with the confirmation data stored in the memory card. After agreement of the confirmation data is detected, the terminal equipment processes the data that should have been done by the center computer in behalf of the center computer. When the power source is interrupted, an IC card receive/discharge process mechanism (104) in the terminal equipment does not permit the IC card to be discharged out of the terminal equipment.
