PURPOSE:To safely execute discharge solidification of a living body tissue by detecting discharge between scalpel tip electrode and the living body tissue, and stopping an output to a secondary side of a high frequency transformer after a prescribed time elapses from a detection time point. CONSTITUTION:On a secondary side of a high frequency transformer 4, a current transformer is provided, and when discharge is started and a high frequency current being equal to an output voltage waveform flows to the secondary side of the high frequence transformer 4, a detecting signal S1 is outputted from the current transformer, and inputted to a timing signal generating circuit 15 of a control circuit 7. The circuit concerned 15 stops an output of a timing signal S2 after a prescribed time Tx elapses from an input time point of the detecting signal S1. In such a state, when the Tx elapses from a discharge start, a reset signal S3 is outputted from a one-shot multivibrator 16, a second switching element 12 conducts and an input of a drive signal Vd to driver transformers 91, 92 is stopped, an output to a secondary side of the high frequency transformer 4 is stopped and the discharge current quantity is controlled. |
