PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of the emission inferiority of a recording head at the time of the completion or interruption of recording by providing a control means using the recovery means to the recording head when recording is judged to be completed by a judge means to perform the recovery operation of the recording head before discharging a recording medium. CONSTITUTION:It is judged whether the character indicated by a pointer is the final character on a compsn. file. This judgement is performed by a code (EOF) showing the end of a compsn. at the time of editing. Next, a recording head is returned to a home position and, herein, capping, empty emission or suction recovery is performed if necessary. Thereafter, a recorded recording medium is discharged. As a result, even when abnormality is generated in recording operation, for example, paper jamming is generated or recording is stopped by the stop operation of an operator, the recording head is returned to a recovery processing system to perform recovery operation. |
