PURPOSE:To provide a practical distance measuring equipment that can measure a distance at the same time even toplural dies existing in a visual field, advantageous in terms of signal-to-noise ratio and so high in adaptivity. CONSTITUTION:When a subject image is formed in a camera unit 1 via a lens 11, a central processing unit 24 controls a focal position on an object surface of the lens 11. In addition, an analog-to-digital converter 21 converts the subject image into an electrical signal, and a projection pattern detecting part 29 detects a signal of a specified frequency band from the electrical image signal. Furthermore, a DSP 26 makes a contrast curve to the focal position of a contrast signal into a Fourier transform. A read-only memory 27 prestores data made up of making a reference contrast curve to a single face of the lens 11 into the Fourier transform, and the DSP 26 divides it with data the contrast curve subjected to the Fourier transform has made this basic contrast curve into the Fourier transform, and further the result is made into the Fourier transform, thereby detecting a peak position. |
