<p>PURPOSE:To prevent damage of a filter at the time of regeneration by providing a means that detects quantity of particulates collected in the filter, a means that detects the temperature of the filter, and a means that starts regeneration action based on the collected quantity and the temperature of the filter, and starting the regeneration action when the collected quantity reaches the second specified quantity. CONSTITUTION:A collected quantity detecting means (A) that detects the quantity of particulates collected in a filter (F) provided in an exhaust gas passage of an internal combustion engine and a filter temperature detecting means (B) that detects the temperature of the filter (F) are provided, also a first regeneration timing judging means (C) that starts regeneration action when the collected quantity of the particulates is not less than first specified quantity and the temperature of the filter (F) is not less than specified temperature, and a second regeneration timing judging means (D) that starts regeneration action when the collected quantity of the particulates reaches the second specified quantity are provided. With these means, deterioration of engine performance due to excessive collection of the particulates is eliminated and damage of the filter (F) at the time of regeneration is prevented.</p> |
