<p>PURPOSE:To make a paper feeding failure and a paper jam hard to occur and prevent any variation in paper feed performance due to a change in a pressing position to a sheet and in pushing pressure by pressing sheets loaded on a sheet loading member from the upside by a sheet pressing plate rockably hanging on a tip part of a support arm. CONSTITUTION:In the state that a support arm 62 has rotated downward, a sheet pressing plate 59 to be hung on this support arm 62 and being rockable presses sheets as going down in a state of paralleling these sheets S loaded on a sheet loading part 52 by its own weight. Therefore, even if loadage of the sheets loaded on this sheet loading part is varied to some extent, a pressing position of the sheet pressing plate 59 and its pressing force are always constant, thus feeding performance is stabilized. In addition, when the support arm is uplifted up to a position where it comes into contact with an incline 66, the sheet pressing plate comes to a state of being paralleled with the support arm and thereby folded onto an upper part of the sheet loading part 52 and its position is locked, thus a supply of sheets can easily be performed in this way.</p> |
