The appts. is for monitoring at least two parallel-coupled batteries (6) in a standby current supply system and involves a current indicator (10) for each battery placed between the respective battery and the connecting point to the normal current supply (1) and the equipment (3). The indicator measures the current from the batteries whilst they are coupled to the equipment. The appts. also incorporates a monitoring unit (12) which is coupled to the current indicators (10) and arranged to determine whether the batteries are functionally efficient with the starting point in the measured currents. The system of supply is for direct current, and involves at least two rectifiers (1) which are coupled to the equipment (3), and the monitoring unit (12) is connected to the rectifiers for lowering the voltage from them when the current indicators are measuring the current from the batteries. |
