PRODUCTION OF WELT

PURPOSE:To obtain a welt equipped with skin material such as cloth and leather at favorable coat. CONSTITUTION:Welt base body 4 is extruded by a composite extrusion head 3 connected to the intermediate part of a rubber extruder 1 and a resin extruder 2. Simultaneously a hot melt adhesive is extruded in the part becoming the external surface of a welt base part. The external surface thereof is coated with the hot melt adhesive. The welt base body 4 is heated and vulcanized in a vulcanization tank 7. Thereby the hot melt adhesive is molten by heating. Accordingly the skin material 8 such as cloth and leather delivered from a roller 8a is laminated on the part coated with the hot melt adhesive just after the welt base body is passed through the vulcanization tank 7.
