PURPOSE:To provide highly reliable heat exchanger by a method wherein the thermal expansion of the core of the heat exchanger is equalized with the thermal expansion of side boards, arranged at both sides of the heat exchanger, as much as possible to prevent the thermal strain of tubes. CONSTITUTION:Flow passages for heating respective sides are formed between a pair of side members 5, positioned at both sides of a core 3, and the core of a heat exchanger. While the flow passages are constituted so that high- temperature liquid is conducted from one tank 4 to the other tank 4 through the flow passages. According to this method, side boards are maintained at comparatively high temperatures whereby the thermal expansion of the side boards can be approached to the thermal expansion of the core 3. |
