PURPOSE:To improve the safety from the standpoint of car driving by attaching a display unit to a car simply and inexpensively without revamping the car side. CONSTITUTION:This display unit is provided with a display unit body 12 displaying information necessary for traveling a car and image information unnecessary for car traveling directly both on the same scope free of changeover motion, an arm 13 supporting and clamping this display unit body 12 to the car in a cantilever way, and a case 14 being externally fitted in this arm 13 and forming an upper clearance (n), regulating the amplitude of vibration in this arm 13, in an opening end 14a having this arm 13 inserted through. Moreover, it is provided with plural pieces of piezoelectric elements 16a-16d being installed each in the case 14 in spacing a lower clearance (m) around a circumference of the arm 13, and a control unit 18 receiving each electric signal from these piezoelectric elements 16a-16d and detecting a vibration in the arm 13, while forcibly prohibiting such a fact that image information unnecessary for car traveling is displayed by the display unit body 12 at a time when the car traveling is detected from this detected value. |
