摘要 PURPOSE:To generate a large transmission torque by changing a set exciting current value adapted to be used for controlling the vector of an inverter, into a value higher than that during normal operation, in accordance with an operating condition of a governor or a safety link mechanism during safety confirming operation of an elevator. CONSTITUTION:In an elevator, an A.C. motor 1 for driving a cage is controlled by an invertor 5 with the use of vector control, and the is stopped by means of a safety link mechanism in accordance with an cage output from a detecting switch 27 for detecting the operation of a governor adapted to detect an acceleration of the cage. In the case of safety confirming operation, the safety link mechanism forcibly drive the governor so as to confirm the operation thereof. In this case, first and second exciting current setting units 22, 23 are provided, and when the governor operation detecting switch 27 detects the operation of the governor, electronic switches 31, 32 are changed over so as to select a set exciting current value adapted to be used for the above-mentioned vector control, which is higher than that during normal operation, and which is then applied to a vector controller 21.
