PURPOSE:To guarantee the fail-safe performance of an air bag device without enlarging the scale of hardware by generating an interruption signal according to the output from a sensor means after the self failure diagnosis of a control means, and outputting an operation signal to an air bag ignition device in response to the interruption signal. CONSTITUTION:A control means 1 is provided with a CPU module 10 formed of a CPU 10a and a memory 10b, and a frequency logical fail-safe circuit 10c. In an air bag system, whether a crush is actually generated is judged by the CPU module 10 from the signal of a crush sensor 3. In the case of recognizing the generation of the crush, an air bag ignition signal is outputted to the frequency logical fail-safe circuit 10c. The frequency logical fail-safe circuit 10c judges whether the output from the CPU module 10 is correct and outputs the start signal of an air bag ignition device 5 through an a.c. driving amplifier 50 only in the correct case. At the time of abnormality being generated, the frequency logical fail-safe circuits 10c transmits this to an abnormality alarm display device 4 through an a.c. driving amplifier 40. |
