PURPOSE:To provide a roentgenphotographing gamma ray source setter that can promote a reduction in manufacturing manhours and an improvement in working properties. CONSTITUTION:This is a gamma ray source setter for performing a radiographic test by means of gamma rays of a piping butt welding zone 17, and it is provided with an induction pipe 2 travelable in a pipeline 15, a protector pipe 3 set up on an circumference of the induction pipe 2, a gamma ray source 1, each air cylinder 5 being set up in the circumferential direction of the protect pipe 3 at regular intervals and then set up in the radial direction of this pipe 3 free of expansion and contraction, a calibrating gamma ray source 7 set up in the protector pipe 3, and a weight 12 installed in this pipe 3. In this constitution, an amount of leakage dosage out of the calibrating gamma ray source 7 is made measurable by means of a dosage measuring instrument 8 set up in the outside of the pipeline. According to the measured value or the like of this leakage dosage, an air supply to the air cylinder is controlled, thus the gamma ray source 1 can be set up in the central part of a pipeline 15. |
