PURPOSE:To thermally crack coal with an improved yield of benzene, toluene, xylenol and naphthalene(BTXN). CONSTITUTION:A hydrogen gas is introduced into a powder comprising a 60-325-mesh coal powder and a 5-150-mesh particulate hydrogenation catalyst to form a fluidized bed of the powder, while the coal powder is heated to 500-700 deg.C under atmospheric pressure to 60kg/cm<3>, and the product of thermal cracking together with char is discharged from the system. In this way, a yield of 7.2wt.% can be attained by atmospheric thermal cracking. |
