PURPOSE:To simultaneously remove a plurality of kinds of malodorous gas by providing a layer excellent in removal performance of trimethylamine in the upstream side as the deodorant layer of a deodorizer and poviding a layer excellent in removal performance of methyl mercaptan in the downstream side thereof. CONSTITUTION:A deodorant layer 2 is arranged in the upstream side of the passage 1 of air containing malodorous gas. A deodorant layer 3 is arranged in the downstream side thereof. The deodorant layer 2 is constituted of iron oxide or mixed oxide of iron and nickel which is excellent in removal performance of trimethylamine as a deodorization component. The deodorant layer 3 is constituted of cobalt oxide and copper oxide excellent in removal performance of mercaptan as the deodorization component. In such a way, a plurality of kinds of malodorous gas are deodorized in a mixed state thereof and also the air strong in an offensive odorous feeling is simultaneously deodorized by synergistic action. Moreover, the initial high removal rate is long maintained. |
