<p>PURPOSE:To provide a method by which NOX emission quantity of a stationary type diesel engine whose operational status alters is accurately predicted and proper quantity of ammonia is supplied in response to the NOX emission quantity. CONSTITUTION:NOX concentration, emission quantity of exhaust gas, temperature of exhaust gas, and pressure of exhaust gas in an exhaust pipe are measured in plural different loaded conditions in a diesel engine. NOX emission quantities in respective loaded conditions are calculated from the values of these measurements in accordance with the Boyle-Charles' law, and the NOX emission quantity (y) is calculated as the quadric of the load (x) of the diesel engine, y=ax<2>+bx+c (in the expression, a, b, c are constants determined by respective diesel engines), from the values of plural different loads of the diesel engine and the NOX emission quantities that correspond to the values of loads.</p> |
