PURPOSE:To eliminate excess equipment and to reduce the power consumption. CONSTITUTION:A personal computer main body 1 always monitors whether an exchange 5 and the personal computer main body 1 communicate with each other or not and whether data is inputted from a keyboard 2 or not; and if communication or input is not performed for a certain time, the personal computer main body outputs a prescribed control signal to an inverter 6 through a signal line 11. The inverter 6 receives the control signal by a power supply control means and stops the power supply from power output circuits 7 and 9 to a CRT display device 3 and a printer 4. When communication or input is restarted, the personal computer main body 1 detects this restart and outputs a prescribed control signal to the inverter 6 through the control signal 11. The power supply control means of the inverter 6 receives this control signal to restart the power supply from power output circuits 7 and 9 to the CRT display device 3 and the printer 4. Since only one inverter 6 is used, the purpose is attained. |
