<p>To produce a steering wheel for cars, consisting of a rim of an annular shape made of metal or plastic material reinforced with fibre or other suitable material, with spokes and a central part for fixing to a hub, where the rim of the steering wheel is covered with a layer of wood, the said steering wheel, with reduced use of expensive wood material, may be easily produced and meet safety requirements, in particular in the event of injury to parts of the human body on the steering wheel there is no tendency for the wooden parts to splinter, it is proposed that the rim of the steering wheel 1 is produced from expanded plastic foam material and that to the coating of foam 4 a layer of wood 5 is attached externally. <IMAGE></p> |
