PURPOSE:To enable a person who does not have musical knowledge to input music by regarding the length of a chord as an analytic unit of the chord when the chord is determined. CONSTITUTION:A set of notes to be sounded simultaneously in order from the head of the inputted music is found as a set 1 (102). The set 1 is added to a note sit (set 2) which is found before, and a candidate set of chords for the set (set 3) is found as a candidate 1 (103). Then, a chord candidate set is found from the set 1 as a candidate 2 (104) and if the candidate 2 has only one element (107) when the candidate 1 is an empty set and the time required to generate a note set included in the set 3 is shorter than a minimum chord recognition time as a predetermined constant (105), the candidate 2 is added to a chord sequence to be found (111). When the candidate 2 has plural elements or is an empty set in a step 107, a chord candidate set is found as a candidate 3 from the set obtained by excluding notes of harmonic sounds from the set 1 (108). |
